This is something that has always intrigued me.  For instance, a =
Beckwith player is advertised as selling for $410 (see attached) and a =
normal upright piano selling at $160. Now in the 1920's, what was the =
relative value of the dollar; for instance could you buy a house for =
$420 or a Model T Ford, or what?
