Hi Bob, If you search for 'add color' on the West System website (www.westsystem.com), there's a nice comparison of adhesion for different coloring substances. Oil based stains were not tested, but why not use aniline dyes? I would think that you would have to try out various combinations of colors (to determine the color after the epoxy has set up) before actually doing the repair, much the way that wood finishers create samples of their finishes to compare before finishing a piece.
