Hi,
INMHO I do not think it would be a good candidate for rescaling due to =
it;it's small size and rounded nature of the entire back of the piano, =
at least if it is shaped like the one I am familiar with. It is cute =
and a period piece. For looks it would be fine.

  I have a butterfly, the one with 72 keys. I think that I have a =
customer for it. I was wondering if a new scale and quality bass =
strings would help. They want to put a player in it. Do you think that =
it would sound as bad as I think it would? I have heard acceptable =
sounding spinets.

    Hi Jack,
The one I am familiar with is the 5', 88 note one. It has a full =
cover of walnut panel over the key when the lid is in place. Terrible =
tone quality, but cute. Never seen either of the other two types

      Hello to all,

Jim! There were three Wurlitzer Butterfly's.
one was the "Student Butterfly" it has 44 keys
was 26 in. long weights 88 lbs. It has no
pedals and has a single escapement action=20
      (jack on key).

The next size up is a 73 note piano about
      4ft.10 long.

Then there was the 88 note size about 5 ft.

Both the 73 and the 88 note had a double repeat=20
action. It was what I call (The Dekalb action).
In this action the repetition lever and the jack=20
used individual coil springs. Also the repetition=20
lever is about one half as long of "regular actions"
Looks a little odd works well. However a little=20
      unforgiving to regulate.

      Hope this helps,

      Regards,
      Jack Wyatt
