Hi,Everyone on the list! IRegarding  Matuscheck piano I can contribute 2
bits of information.Before immigre
ting to usa,this hungarian immigrant worked in Vienna,his name was spelled
Mathauscheck.As,a tip #2:pay attention to the shape of their sharp
keys,they have unusual shape toward the fallboard,next time i will see
it-i'll take a picture.Best regards.Isaac   P/S. Hey,joe! How does that
huge tuning hammer work for tuning square pianos? After you retire-it will
go back to me and then to PTG museum.. that's a deal!!

Not knowing the age of the Chickering would make that a bit difficult to
say.<G> However, this piano's # is 1272 which is pre-1865, where the
numbers start in the Atas @#1500. I wish Jack would jump in here.<G> Jack!

Hmmm? It seems we all have our spellings of Mathushek. (Including me!<G>)
Would you mind posting the picture(s) you have, so some of the younger
types know what the hell we're talking about?
