In California, sales tax only applies to the selling of parts (not
labor). I charge and collect, keep a separate file for all "sales tax"
receipts, make a column on my spreadsheet to keep a running total, and
transfer money per month into a business savings account which I use for
sales and estimated taxes.

Hi'ya,

I just wanted to know how everyone does their taxes. Do most of you
charge sales tax with each service performed, then throw that amount in
a separate bank account for tax time?

Matthew
