Tuned a GH1 today, and noticed that the top two sections (capo) had no =
felt between the front bearing bar and the tuning pins, allowing that =
segment to vibrate. There is a well about 1/4" deep cast in the plate =
in this area, but this area is flat, not convex, like the other plate =
segments that have string underlayment felt right up to the bearing bar.

Should it have string braid, or underlayment felt? I can see no =
previous sign of either... and the treble unisons are hard to tune, =
with that trashy noise...

Recommended octave styles are also welcomed... it was about a 26-note =
bass, with no wound strings on the treble.
