notching

David,

I use a router table and straight bit as described by Bill Spurlock. It 
makes the cut perfectly but you have to feed the key very slowly on 
certain keys (I think, Bs and Es) where the router wants to tear a chunk 
out of the keytop if the feed is too fast.

The router bit leaves a slight burr so I use a file to dress the edges 
and the inside corner of the notch.
