Hi Terry, If you don't mind slumming it, you can use the same type of case that I use for camera equipment. I carry two cases, a bit fatter and not quite as tall as brief cases, that cost me somewhere between $25 and $30 each at Lowe's. They're made by Taskmaster, as I recall. The sides are aluminum exterior, dense foam lining, and masonite core, set into an extruded aluminum frame. The case comes with a back panel with lots of little pouches. The panel can be removed. It also has reconfigurable compartment separators, with a large foam insert for cushioning larger items. The case is just deep enough to hold a larger SLR. I was a bit leary of buying a cheap case, but it seems to have held up just fine -- so far. I figure I could buy quite a few of these for what a Pelican would cost. At the very least, it's a good case for carrying stuff that you don't pull out very often. It's both functional and very professional looking.
