What kind of Everett do you have? I own a 1900 5' 4" (or so) Everett =
grand with an open-pinblock that  I'd like to remanufacture someday.

Can you state specifically what made these great old blocks tick?

No. Other than string coils low on the pin. And maybe 1/0 pins.
