Gordon!! Rocker capstans!! Would I be suggesting a capstan move if it had
rocker capstans??? This is an 1898. Pretty standard. Damper and hammer
flange is the same. Backchecks are really nice for an upright. Nice
craftmanship throughout except the balance rail is 3 mm off. Makes me need a
6 mm change in the capstan. No curious action geometries here other than a
1.66 key ratio.
What balance weight do you prefer on an upright?
