upright balance weight/jack springs

I had replaced the jack springs with Pianotech's tall ones. I thought they
were on the strong side. I pulled one forward and a piece of tape to hold it
out of the way and the DW went to 43 grams. Interesting. 14 grams
difference. I'm going to put in weaker springs.


Does anybody know when the articles on jack springs was in the journal? I
believe there was one not too long ago.
