Hey Robert,
I think you'd do well to put a kit together before starting the job. A =
set of left hand thread drill bits from maybe 5/32 on down. Some diamond =
burrs for making a starting dimple. A fine center punch, some lube, WD =
40 or such. ez outs and other extractor types in various sizes, agraffes =
and their tools. Drill motor. Dremmell tool. That's probably enough to =
start. Just having the kit will give you an idea of how to proceed. It =
may well come out when you drill it. Flatten the top first with a =
grinder on the dremmel, then make a dimple dead center with a cone =
shaped, then center punch, lube, then drill for your extractor. IMHO I =
would not worry about over torque. Turn down till tight, then the relief =
in the shoulder should will crush as you line up the new aggraffe. This =
will properly seat the new part.
