Two things come to mind. One, where the two bars overlap, there may be a piece of felt or leather missing. Two, the more probable cause, one of the hangers is broken. If that is the case, remove the bar, drill out the broken piece, and replace with a nail, or welding rod of the proper diameter. Bend and cut it to shape. Just solder it in place. I suppose it could also be epoxied in place, although, I have never tried the epoxy. Regards, John M.
