I acknowledge that 90% of voicing is a good regulation.  
 
This is an interesting thread.  Terry's comment about the butchered  
rendition of Liebestraume is worthy of note.  There are many  pianists whose dynamics 
sconsist of  'loud' and louder.  
 
About 10 years ago, Brian DeTar from Yamaha came down and did a  voicing 
class in Phoenix.  During the class he told the story about a  dealer who had a 
buyer for a nice Yamaha grand but the action kept making the  mans wrists get 
sore.  The man wanted the piano and was willing to  buy it, if there was some 
way to lighten the action.  
 
Brian juiced the hammers and the piano sold.
