Hello Don, Rik, Andre and List
Here's what happened about that old Upright Katz for Bartered Bride at Glyndebourne. They dropped it (the idea, that is! ) of using it in preference to a Broadwood which just happens to be available. Reason? Looks of it are better suited to the set/scene... whatever. So hammer hardening has yet to come my way - but thanks for all the ideas, they are usefully "filed away" in the old cranium.
