I didn't get Pat's post yet...?  But I don't put pitchlock on anything =
unless I have no other choice.  Another tool in the kit.  The cleaning =
up of the bass unison/octave was well worth any loss in the tone/volume=
.  I suppose changing the strings would have been better...but I can st=
ill do that if I find fault with pitchlock on this piano over time.

I noted this too, but on some pianers...the loss is a good one.
