WE have a Yamaha C-6 in the Pit at Glyndebourne - that's a 1200 seat theatre. I went to a recital in a largish church last week-end and they had a Kawai G-5 which was too small. I'd be inclined to say "the bigger the better" as my "rule-of-thumb" Regards Michael G.(UK) -----Original Message----- From: Don [mailto:pianotuna@yahoo.com] Sent: 06 October 2005 13:31 To: pianotech@ptg.org Subject: piano size Hi Folks, Is there a "rule of thumb" for Hall size vs piano size? I've been asked to suggest size of piano for a 600 to 800 seat Hall. How small is too small?
