David S. asked: "
Joe -
Tell me again why something like the Barge type product would be
inappropriate? Too hard to remove?"

David,
I can think of two very good reasons: 1. It's contact cement! Which, breaks down with time 2. The base solvent for contact cement is methyethylkeytone or a similar. This nasty stuff is not good for you AND will dissolve the finish on the plate!!! Yikes! (Of course, if you are "boo-boo" proof than those little oopsies don't apply.<G>)
