Katrina-- sorry

Ever notice how it's always hateful politics if the Republicans are on the receiving end...

That being said I will refrain from further comment...

But...I put the blame for the New Orleans mess squarely on the local people in charge.   They've had plenty of years to have some preparation for the flooding possibility.   The most suspect levees were along Lake Pontchatrain, I believe.   Why didn't they have a neighborhood watch program in place.   People ready to volunteer to keep an eye on the levees.    Heavy equipment housed right in the general area with a plan for repairing a breached levee.    You can't blame the Federal Government for every local problem.
