Okay, set 1/4" letoff, then block up the hammer rail and take up the lost motion till the bobbling stops, then juice the strike point of the hammers, increase the damper spring tension (after all, a harpsichordist won't be using the right pedal) and say, "That's the most like a harpsichord I can get it to play." Oh, beforehand, you warn that the thing won't be a very _good_ harpsichord, and that after you're finished, it darned well won't be a "normal" piano, either. ssssssnn
