I started buying 'em in 1978 or so and they were always green.  Lately 
the ones from Schaff (U.S.) are white.  But I don't care about the color 
as long as they're consistent in cork or clip size and that they're all 
the same length.  For a while there, they had some questionable sets 
where the corks were glued on poorly, the straps were too short, some of 
those holes for the bridle wire weren't punched through, and other 
straps were missing their  tabs.  Here of late, they've mostly been OK, 
but not as good as the old Signal brand.  Just another case of  "they 
don't make 'em like they useta."     --David Nereson, RPT
