Mark: One caveat, don't get used to having the income from your full-time job AND the part-time piano tuning. If you do, making the switch to full-time piano work will be just as painful as it would be to jump in now. Save all the money you get from tuning and you'll have a cushion when you do go full time. Any reduction in pay is painful. Make some plans to minimize it. dp David M. I have in fact asked myself the question and my answer always winds up being 'How is the quality of work I receive from them?" I have a person that I go to for car repairs even though he just does it as a hobby because the quality is there. I just wasn't sure how you all thought most piano owners would feel. And yes...they do appreciate the availability at odd hours don't they? > > > > At 11:11 AM 1/4/2006, you wrote: > >Does anyone on the list feel that a client will not be as dedicated to > >you if they know that you are not a full-time tuner/tech yet? > >I am currently working a full-time job while in the process of breaking > >into tuning. > > > >Thank you > >Mark > > > >_______________________________________________ > >pianotech list info: https://www.moypiano.com/resources/#archives > > Greg Newell > Greg's piano Forté > mailto:gnewell@ameritech.net > > _______________________________________________ > pianotech list info: https://www.moypiano.com/resources/#archives > _______________________________________________ pianotech list info: https://www.moypiano.com/resources/#archives
