One of my clients had a spinet with about 30 "butterfly" hammers. I
removed the action to my shop and reattached the hammer felts to their wood
cores with hot -melt- glue; the kind that comes in sticks fed through a
gun. It is fast and very strong. The glue is thick enough that it is not
absorbed into the felt and no clamping is needed.
