should I repair, replace, retreat, or recommend a recking ball on Thomas vertical?

We had them in Oz too. A fine fine fine bit of junk if ever there was some.
They were made in Ireland by a Dutch company. The factory was at the airport
so they could make a quick getaway.
All the parts fell to pieces and were unfixable.
