Terry: We've been with 10-digit dialing for several years here. Anyone who tries to call you and can't get it to ring (and no other calls will work without the 10-digits either) will eventually figure it out. If not, they're not too bright! dp David M. So I tried it again without the area code and only if I waited at least ten seconds, did it start ringing, then the reminder recording came on.
