    I'll second the recommendation for Steve Fujan's levers. I'm just learning how to tune
     and the stiffnes of these levers is making it much easier to control the movement of the
    pin. I use (so far) two different tubes. The six inch tube is nice on the junker with pins that 
    aren't incredibly tight. The nine inch tube is great on the tight tuning pins on the Pearl River.
    I also have one of those New Octave Global hammers - I consider it and the Randy Potter
    apprentice lever to be emergency equipment. The flex in the steel really bothers me.
