what glue for hammer felts?

I use med. or thick CA with the accelerator and a spring clamp.
Move quick and keep your fingers from being glued to the hammer.
It's a real bear walking around with a spinet attached to your hand.

  i've got a few hammers off a baldwin spinet with the felt coming loose. any suggestions as to what glue i should use? i've considered using PVC-E to reglue the felt because it's supposed to be good for dissimilar surfaces, but i'm not sure.
