I like the new format for archival reading.

Before, in order to reply to a thread from the archive, I would have 
to copy the subject
and click on the address then paste the subject to the new e-mail and 
change the address.
Then go back to the archive to copy relevant text supporting my reply.

Now it's as easy as it is was when receiving the posts directly to my 'in box'.
Now I can copy relevant text for my reply (not send the entire post - 
hint, hint)
and generate an email with one click.

A fantastic upgrade.

PS  As mentioned before, I prefer reading the list via the archive as 
it cuts down on
the bulk to my daily mail. The majority of which is spam but now 
doesn't require
much scrutinizing plus the option for selective reading.  I would 
spend 30 to 45 minutes
reading and sorting mail, now it takes 3 to 10 minutes.
