Hi,Alan! You already got some good suggestions regarding stripped-damaged
tuning pin.It needs to extractd, period!! The tool from our suppliers works
only if you insert it in a T-HANDLE.I had to come to the rescue of one of
our collegue, when he inserted removing tool in the regular tuning hammer. If
T-Handle will not work for you-let me know,I have a special tool designed to
grab #1 tuning pin and it works,it was tested under few un-repairable
situations. Hope,it helps.Just,don't panic!! Isaac

Subject: striped tuning pin head

Hi List,

A client's console has a tuning pin which has had it's "corners rounded,"
apparently by the use of something other than a tuning hammer. It cannot be
turned with any of the tips in my collection. Any suggestions on what would
be the easiest way to grab this pin and turn it out so that it may be
replaced with something tunable?

Thanks,

Alan Eder, RPT
