You answered your own question. :-) It was made by Kawai for Baldwin.
There were two short models though I don't remember the exact sizes.
The smaller one was SMALL! I remember some of these from the early 70s
but I don't think it was an arrangement of long standing.

Subject: Howard pianos?

Hi,

Can anyone share knowledge or experience with Howard pianos? I
haven't heard of them. Someone I know is interested in purchasing a
5'9" one for about $6500, and it's from the 60s. He was told it was
made by Kawai for Baldwin. It also has a crack in the soundboard its
entire length with an epoxy repair, but I'm not sure when this was
performed.

Thanks.

- John
