Howard pianos?

I have tuned two so far. One is from the 60's and needs much work, but it's
in a church..."Just tune it, please." ;-) The other is a C171 and is pretty
decent. It would be worth around the $6500 mark, if not a bit more. Walnut
finish, clean, etc. Sorry, I know it's not much to go on, but that's all I
know about them.

Subject: Howard pianos?

Hi,

Can anyone share knowledge or experience with Howard pianos? I
haven't heard of them. Someone I know is interested in purchasing a
5'9" one for about $6500, and it's from the 60s. He was told it was
made by Kawai for Baldwin. It also has a crack in the soundboard its
entire length with an epoxy repair, but I'm not sure when this was
performed.

Thanks.

- John
