Relocating

Right now, my thoughts are toward a coastal area, always wanted to live
close to the ocean. A buy in/out will certainly be something to consider,
but it's still early for those thoughts. Everythings flexible at this
point.

Any thoughts on where you might relocate to and have you considered buying
into (or buying out) an existing business?

In three to five years, I hope to relocate and start my own business. So,
I've started looking into the demographics, markets, etc. One thing I would
like to know is how many tuner/techs there are in a given area. PTG
membership, of course, is easy to establish, but not everybody's in the PTG.
In my current area, there are six listed tuners, and three are in the PTG.
I know of two other PTG members, myself and one other who is just starting
out, who aren't listed in the phone book. So, in my metro area of about
375,000 people, there are 6-8 tuners (two semi-active?) of whom five are
listed by the PTG. Does this percentage (50-60% PTG membership) ring true
for most areas?

Any advice from others who have relocated will be greatly appreciated.
