That's a very good question / remark, John... I never tried. I don't have a harpsichord tuning lever, 
but I remember that when I was looking for mine, I saw one which looked exactly like what I needed, 
but the guy said it wasn't right for me because it was for harpsichords... 

what size and how conic(*) is an harpsichord tuning pin ?
(*) There is another word for that but I can't remember it...

  the only tuning lever I have, which works is tagged #0.

    If you are talking about the oblong pins, I've never come across a decent tip that fits properly. Most of those pins are prior to 1880. As for the normal pins, my medium star tip seems to do the job most of the time.

      I have the same kind of piano, and the pins are so narrow that I had quite a hard time finding a tip that would fit on it...
