Synthetic Reducer

Hi Joe,
 
Thanks for the recipe. Now, I know you've talked about this in an
earlier post, but could you please tell me what you use for pin-dribing
fluid?

The original stuff I was using came from Rodda Paints, but they no
longer carry it. There a couple that are available from other sources.
What you want is the "Base" substance for Varnish, w/o all of the
additives that makes each manufacturer's Varnish unique. (DO 
NOT USE VARNISH!) The specific Name is: Phenolic Resin. If a paint
supplier doesn't know what that is, then they shouldn't be a paint
supplier!
The current one that I will be using is from Miller Paint.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is Synthetic reducer? This is the first
time I hear of it.

It is the thinner for synthetic Varnishes.<G> Rodda Paints.
