Hello list!

Here's one related to the tools of the trade, at least for those who do some
degree of rebuilding. Anyone ever tried to fix a split handle on a hand
plane? The split is about midway up the handle, right along the grain.
Rosewood.

problems:

1. Glue type?
2. because of the shape of the handle, clamping will either cause a break
at the top, or will cause parts to slide past one another as pressure
increases.

I attached a photo of a similar plane so you can see the handle shape -
pretty standard, but if some non-plane user has a good glue-up idea, I'd
love to hear it.

Thanks,
William R. Monroe
