Robin,
I'll agree with the group. Get the insurance but
read the fine print ! I had a recent problem that I assumed was covered by my Safeco policy. SURPRISE!!! this was an excluded event. The safeco adjuster showed me the section of the policy that pertained to my claim and of course they were correct ---no coverage.
The adjuster told me "People think they should be covered for everything "
At the Rochester I picked up the brochure from the agent and WOW! you would think the coverage included any possible scenario.
I'm not sure if any better policy for the money is out there but I'm looking.
Just once I would like to hear an insurance representative say " Ok ,Tom your covered on this one .Check is on the way."
I guess it's no accident that the two biggest buildings in Boston are owned by insurance companies.
    Tom -Bitter but still happy-Driscoll

How important is insurance for your piano business? Is the need based on full-time vs. part-time business? The kind of work you do--tuning/regulation vs. restoration at your shop at home? So far, I have only had one customer ask me re: insurance.

  Thanks, Robin
