Terry, No, you're not the only one to be frustrated with the lack of depth in the Pocket Outlook. There just aren't as many fields within the Pocket Outlook database as there are in the Palm desktop program, so the fields just don't map correctly. I switched over years ago and have been waiting for the Windows platform to catch up. It still hasn't. I've tried a variety of third party Pocket PC databases with the hopes that they might make up for the lack in Outlook, but they just aren't as simple and elegant and the Palm platform. Many tout the benefits of Time and Chaos, but I haven't found it to be that much better than Outlook. If anyone has found something recently, I'd love to learn hear about it also. I hope that something new has been developed since I last checked. jeannie _____ From: Terence Miller [mailto:innuuuu at yahoo.com] Sent: Wednesday, November 22, 2006 11:04 AM To: pianotech list; Mark Stivers Subject: Migration from Palm device to Pocket PC Dear List I'm shifting from the Palm environment to the Pocket PC. I've been able to get my client data into Outlook 2002 (version 10) on my desktop, including the 4 user-defined fields that I use in tracking: Piano Information; Next Time Do This; Last Service Was On; Service is Due On. I can't seem to get those user-defined fields to synch over to my Pocket PC device. I guess I'm asking: 1) Does Pocket Outlook not have any user-defined fields? or 2) is there a field-mapping routine between Desktop Outlook and Pocket PC Outlook that I should be doing that I don't know about? I can't be the only one with this problem thanks in advance Terry Miller _____ Sponsored Link Mortgage rates near 39yr lows. $420,000 Mortgage for $1,399/mo - Calculate <http://www.lowermybills.com/lre/index.jsp?sourceid=lmb-9132-16414&moid=4116 > new house payment -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
