Greetings,
I have found that fanning the deviation will sometimes allow stringing
in tight spaces to be less jammed together or against the adjacent pins. It
isn't very visible to the eye that the pin is leaning a little off from exactly
against the string, but it can allow a way around clearance problems. The
trick is to make note of where corrections are needed before destringing, and
then remembering which notes need which pin to lean right or left.
