"...a powerhouse virtuoso in the grand tradition."

Los Angeles Times, 2001

Mario Feninger is one of the last living links to the Golden Age of the Piano, when the world was blessed with such giants as Hofmann, Cortot, Busoni, Rachmaninoff and Godowsky, to name a few. At present an energetic and vital eighty-three, he is literally a practical, experiential bridge into an earlier time, when the piano, and the timeless music written by the older masters, was exalted, reinterpreted, transcribed, transformed, and performed brilliantly by the younger masters of the twentieth century.

Mario has dedicated his life to the study of keyboard performance practices from the baroque to romantic era, particularly that of Domenico Scarlatti. In addition, Mario is also one of the foremost scholars regarding the great pianist-composer Ferrucio Busoni. He is an exceptional teacher and storyteller, so we will be captivated by his words and remembrances as well as his limpid, deeply expressive music.

My friends, these chances are not repeated; if you can possibly attend this historic event, I urge you to RSVP today: 310-457-5604.
