High tension? Low?......

Hi Alan

Course no-one has mentioned really low tension scales yet.  Ok... so 
Alan was proabbbbly talking about modern pianos.  But I keep wondering 
what would happen if the worlds best piano designers would start 
re-entering the world of instruments with tensions low enough to not 
need a plate. 

In a world where the piano market seems doomed to be split into two 
groups... very high end and very low end... with electrics sooner or 
later eating the low end market away.....  perhaps  there may be 
something to be gained by looking backwards a bit....  just a thought.
