List,

A client has a Hardmann upright (Ser. #30035) that probably dates back to 1890 (would anyone have the Blue Book dates before 1900?).

Besides being an heirloom, they were wondering about the value (musically and as an antique) of it. Musically, it's probably not worth a lot. Despite being in excellent shape externally (+ action is in good shape and the wound strings are relatively new), it is 2 steps flat!!

Would anyone recommend pounding in the pins (they are loose) and tuning it at a flat pitch, or would it be worth it? Thanks.
