Of course you can choose to ignore labor. As the Germans say, if my aunt had what my uncle had, she'd be an uncle too... But you can as easily ignore the cost of parts, and count only the labor. What do you charge your customers for labor? What will the difference be for a real customer, not just your practice piano? And will you have the same quality level as the purchased parts? I agree with you, though, that it's a great thing to practice. --Cy--
