It never ceases to amaze me as to how many great gadgets that the techs on this list make. I have made many from the pictures that were posted including the one below for dampers. I especially liked the idea on using a golf cart to carry a grand action. I made one that same night that I read the posting and saw the pictures. Please, please keep them coming. Except for joining the Guild, joining this Pianotech list is the best thing I could have done for myself. Thanks to all for the many great ideas............Ron Boyd - Milwaukee chapter #532 ----- Original Message ---- From: Jude Reveley/Absolute Piano <juderev at verizon.net> To: Piano Tech List <pianotech at ptg.org> Sent: Sunday, August 12, 2007 11:39:32 AM Subject: Damper Holder for Grand Dampers Hi John, Those cheap shelving brackets make for pretty nifty damper racks. See picture. It's easier for me to carry them around the shop and place them on a shelf than the long racks.. Personal choice. As for the PVC damper remover, I built one and found the radius of the pipe to carry excessive water that was unnecessary. I'm working on a version now that uses gutter stock. I also want to add a drain.
