One possible change to Bill S.'s original plan: cut the hole in the top as a right angle and a semi-circle (tear-drop shaped). That lets you scrape excess glue off a flat stick or brush, as well as a round applicator. Of course, that's from when I had too much time on my hands, so maybe now I'd just drill a round hold and get to work.... <g> It's a great gluepot system, however, and I thank Bill every time I use it! I got this idea from Bill Spurlock. The glue is still in a baby food jar. The warmer is a hot pot that I bought at Walgreen's. They cost $9.99. Simply drill a hole through the top for your paint brush and you're in business. It works scaringly well. The reason I like this method is that the lid stays closed and you dip the glue out through the top. You never deal with glue evaporating and the lid keeps the moisture in.
