My understanding is that the PianoDisk Silent System relies on a large (far as opposed to close) let-off to function, whereas the Yamaha system has a separate let-off rail (or somesuch) that allows the piano to be closely regulated (close let-off), but when the silent system on the Yamaha is engauged, it still functions. Is this the case? Is there any way to have a PianoDisk system with a tightly regulated action (close let-off) that still functions with the silent system?
