Alan... :)  See below from the online dictionary.   I'm leaning in 
Larrys direction really.  Parched bridge and  several bare (or warped) 
keys.  Fits the meter poifectly, and says nothing positive about this 
wreck !

    Uh ... well  ...  um ... yeah .... but, uh, what, exactly, is a
    parched bridge? Thirsty?  The "action verdigris" works well.
