Oh, Gloria would go nuts! I actually widened the inside with my Dremmel on one of the and she was horrified because they're so thin...... Well one was thinner than the other, and so I just did a bit of fixing! You're the only one who took any interest in my little problem......... I simply pressed down on the flexible tube which had been super-glued, and the lack of flexibility in that "joint", made it break immediately when I pushed down on the flexible part. Gloria, again, rather amazed.......... I DO know that most people are amazingly stooooopid, but come on, it doesn't take an engineering degree to think of some basic stuff. So, I think I'm paying a price for using cell phone. Have they a "fix" so that one does not lose hearing with the cell??????????/ les _____ From: pianotech-bounces at ptg.org [mailto:pianotech-bounces at ptg.org] On Behalf Of Diane Hofstetter Sent: Sunday, December 16, 2007 1:09 AM To: pianotech at ptg.org Subject: a ltitle help/off topic You can get the tubes out by carefully drilling them out (slow dremel tool). The tubes and the PVC-e glue are both softer than the acrylic, (I suppose that's what yours are made of?--clear, plastic-looking?) Why do you have to glue them in? Maybe you need to get larger diameter tubes, they should fit snuggly by themselves. I replace tubes for free for my patients--is Gloria too far away for a quick stop by her office? Usually the professional can do a better job, because all the angles and lengths can be adjusted more precisely when they are on the patient's head, making for greater comfort. I am using it to hold plastic tubes in the molds for my hearing aids, and need to replace tubes. The molds are about $135, and fragile, so I can't go digging madly with blunt instruments... thanks les bartlett -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
