So, I think I'm paying a price for using cell phone. Have they a "fix" so
that one does not lose hearing with the cell??????????/
[Leslie Bartlett] Diane Hoffstetter said there is research which shows cell
phones damage hearing. I use mine a good bit, and my last audiogram showed
significant deterioration in the hearing in that ear....... I'm on mine a
lot- but it appears to be costing more than minutes. this is just a bit of
a heads up for technicians who do a lot of cell phone talking. It might
really not be good for us- so I'm looking to find another fix which won't
have the thing stuck up to my ear. I'd sure like to hear from others
who might have fixed the problem. Normal headphone doesn't help, though I
have not actually used it "on top" of the hearing aid. That might be a first
try. I am guessing (jump in here Diane) that it is something within the
phone which causes the damage different than when talking on home
phone???????????????????
