Symptoms as reported by client.
Dampers not damping.

Question to him: are they sticking in pairs?
They reply yes. 
Suspect growing or loose leads will be found.

Arrive to work on piano ( 130 mile one way )
with all tools and supplys I can think to bring 
and need only a small screw driver, a drop of glue 
and an inch of bushing felt to fix the problem.

21 dampers were involved, none in pairs <g>

Some dampers would stay up and when pushed 
down would make a crusty scraping sound.

Nothing needed adjusting.
