Zither tuning

Hi, Baoli, and all of you who wrote,

Thanks so much for your information...I have a MacBook Pro, but I soon
hope to have Windows operating on it, and maybe then I can run the
Tunelab97 software. For the moment, I'm just using a little black
battery-operated Korg tuner, and my ears. What I really needed was a
chart about which strings should be tuned to which note, and I got
that from Annie Grieshop.

My partner and I are experimenting with other tunings for zithers...we
have acquired several autoharps, taken off the chord mechanisms, and
tuned them pentatonically. We may do something similar with this
German zither. We don't have any recordings yet on our web site with
the zithers, but they sound wonderful with our crystal singing bowls
and flutes.

I once experienced a Chinese zither concert (I was living in
Hiroshima, Japan at the time) and it was such a gorgeous sound.
Baoli, do your wife and daughter have any CDs? Where do you live? At
the moment, I'm in Bonn, Germany, although I also have a house in Ann
Arbor, Michigan.

Happy New Year (guten Rutsch) to all!

LeAnn
